The Oral History Digital Collection contains a selection of interview transcripts produced by the Center for Oral History and Cultural Heritage at The University of Southern Mississippi. Currently, a majority of the interviews in the collection document the Civil Rights movement in Mississippi. Transcripts of additional oral history interviews are available in McCain Library & Archives.

The Herbert Randall Freedom Summer Photographs Digital Collection contains a selection of items from the Herbert Randall manuscript collection in McCain Library & Archives. The photographs include images of violence against volunteers, voter registration canvassing, the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party, Freedom Schools, the Free Southern Theatre, and a Picnic at the home of Vernon Dahmer, which was the official beginning of the Hattiesburg Project.

The Tatum Family Business Records Digital Collection contains a selection of materials from the Tatum Family Business Records located in the Historical Manuscripts and Photographs collection in McCain Library & Archives.

The S. G. Thigpen Papers Digital Collection contains a selection of materials from the S. G. Thigpen Papers located in the Historical Manuscripts and Photographs in McCain Library and Archives.

The Mississippiana Digital Collection contains a selection of published items associated with Mississippi history, culture, and government from the Special Collections in McCain Library & Archives.

The H.A. & Margret Rey Digital Collection contains a selection of items from the H.A. & Margret Rey collection located in the de Grummond Children's Literature Collection in McCain Library & Archives.

The Kate Greenaway Papers Digital Collection contains a selection of items from the Kate Greenaway Papers located in the de Grummond Children's Literature Collection in McCain Library & Archives. The majority of materials in this digital collection date from the turn of the 20th century.

The Maps Digital Collection contains a selection of historical maps from the Special Collections in McCain Library & Archives. Many of the maps feature Mississippi in the 1800s.

The Historical Manuscripts & Photographs Digital Collection contains a selection of items from manuscript collections in McCain Library & Archives. Items document the history of the South, with particular emphasis on Mississippi.

The McLoughlin Brothers Papers Digital Collection contains a selection of items from the McLoughlin Brothers Papers located in the de Grummond Children's Literature Collection in McCain Library & Archives.

The University of Southern Mississippi Art Museum Digital Collection contains a selection of artwork from the permanent collection at the art museum on the campus of the University of Southern Mississippi.

The Robert Waller Photographs Digital Collection contains a selection of Waller's commercial photographs, including local businesses, schools, churches, civil and social organizations, and events. Waller was a professional photographer who operated a studio out of his home in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. His photographs document life in southern Mississippi, particularly Hattiesburg, from the mid-1940s through the 1970s.

The USM Yearbooks Digital Collection contains a growing selection of yearbooks published between 1914 and the present by The University of Southern Mississippi, formally Mississippi Normal College (1912-1924), State Teachers College (1924-1940), Mississippi Southern College (1940-1962). Digitized by the Internet Archive in 2012 with funding from LYRASIS Members and Sloan Foundation, The Southerner was originally entitled Neka Camon in 1914 and from 1920-1939, The New Spirit from 1915-1917, Mississippi Southern College Yearbook from 1943-1944, and the Old Southerner in 1946. There were no yearbooks were published between 1918-1919, 1932-1937, and 1943-1945.

The Rare Book Digital Collection contains a selection of rare books from the Special Collections in McCain Library & Archives. The Rare Book Collection is comprised of materials relating to the history of the South, the Civil War, the history of printing, philosophy, religion, among other topics.

The de Grummond Children's Books Digital Collection contains a selection of books from the holdings of the de Grummond Children's Literature Collection in McCain Library & Archives. The majority of works featured in this collection date between 1731 - 1920.

The Editorial Cartoon Digital Collection contains examples of the work of member artists of the American Association of Editorial Cartoonists (AAEC). Created primarily in the 1960s and 1970s, the cartoons reflect changes in American social and political attitudes and provide artistic commentary on such topics as the Civil Rights Movement, Watergate, the Vietnam War, government bureaucracy, taxes, and political corruption.

The de Grummond Children’s Literature Digital Collection contains a selection of items from manuscript collections located in the de Grummond Children's Literature Collection in McCain Library & Archives. Additional materials from manuscript collections of sufficient size are available in separate digital collections.

The Southern Miss History Digital Collection contains a selection of items from McCain Library & Archives including photographs, yearbook pages, documents, and memorabilia that document The University of Southern Mississippi's history.
