Photograph (positive image of a negative) of local African-American residents singing probably Freedom Songs at the fish fry given for the volunteers by local civil rights leader Vernon Dahmer on his property at the Kelly Settlement on July 4. In the left foreground is local African-American resident Ulysses Everett, who worked in the Laurel project. On his left is local African-American teenager Sandra Blalock.
