From the Thigpen (S.G.) Papers. Photograph of a large group of people lined up in a “V” pattern with a woman in the center. Caption on the back explains this is the Pearson family and home. Can be found in the book Next Door to Heaven by S. G. Thigpen, with the caption, "Old home and family of H. L. Pearson. H. L. Pearson was the third white man to settle in the big interior area east of Picayune. His widow, shown in the center, was almost a hundred years old when this picture was taken. In the rear is the old time log house, the home of this family for almost a century."
