From the Randall (Herbert) Freedom Summer Photographs. Photograph (positive image of a negative) of a group of young African Americans of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, standing and singing in front of the headquarters of local civil rights leader Victoria Jackson Gray's campaign for the U.S. Senate on the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party (MFDP) ticket, located in the same building at 507 Mobile Street as the Freedom House or headquarters of the COFO-Hattiesburg project. Barbara Ann Johnson is on the left, wearing a striped shirt. In the right foreground is Bessie Houze.
