Photograph (positive image of a negative) of three African American girls from Hattiesburg, Mississippi, standing near a tree in front of True Light Baptist Church during Freedom Summer, 1964. Affixed to the tree is a hand-made sign reading "MFDP", which stands for Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party. On the left, looking at the sign is Glenda Polk. On the right is Daneeta Walker.
